come up screaming
come up screaming

i've never seen you look like this without a reason
another promise fallen through
another season passes by you
i never took the smile away from anybody's face
and that's a desperate way to look
for someone who is still a child

in a big country dreams stay with you
like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
stay alive

i thought that pain and truth were things that really mattered
but you can't stay here with every single hope you had shattered
i'm not expecting to grow flowers in a desert
but i can live and breathe
and see the sun in wintertime

in a big country dreams stay with you
like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
stay alive
in a big country dreams stay with you
like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
stay alive

so take that look off of your face, it doesn't fit you
because it's happened doesn't mean you've been discarded
pull up your head off the floor—come up screaming
cry out for everything you ever might have wanted
i thought that pain and truth were things that really mattered
but you can't stay here with every single hope you had shattered

i'm not expecting to grow flowers in a desert
but i can live and breathe
and see the sun in wintertime

in a big country dreams stay with you
like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
stay alive

Act V. THE TRUTH. (Love is hard work. And, sometimes, hard work can really hurt.) Love is a game. If they didn't tell you before, we will tell you now. Love is a game and if you play you either win, lose, or get ejected before the game is over. There are no ties. Maybe you'll lose and learn some great, meaningful answer from it all (like if it looks to good to be true, it is). It's easy to love something when you don't have to work at it. It's harder when it asks something of you. You just might be afraid to give. Give it anyway. The heart is the most resilient muscle. It is also the stupidest. So if this love you've found is good to you, hold it, keep it, shout about it. If it isn't, then maybe you should just become very good friends.
